Grand Portage Weekend Trip: FullBack to events
Join HCC to Explore Minnesota's Greatest Beauty: the North Shore!
From July 14-16, we are excited to offer a road trip to the Northern Shore! We will leave Friday morning and make our way up to Grand Portage, very close to the Canadian border! We hope to return around 6:00pm Sunday. This is a chance for our volunteers to share part of why we Minnesota and share our state with you. Besides showing the most beautiful spots, we want to share in cultural exchange so we match our guests to volunteers who will drive. If you couldn't go last year or are new, we hope you can join us this year!
Activities may include:
- River Trekking in the Kadunce River
- Lunch in Duluth
- Early morning hikes
- Dinner in Grand Marais

- Visit a Native American Museum and learn their culture.
- A community bonfire
- Hiking Mt. Eagle, Minnesota's highest point of evelation.

Visit Facebook to see highlights from last year and to see where we went before details arrive!
Are children & elderly welcome? Yes but there are some hikes that will be a bit too tiring. We may take a small group to a small mountain which is steep, a tougher climb, and not for leisurely walking.
