The Hospitality Center is a community of Americans and Chinese ready to provide a welcoming environment and practical services for you as you face any challenges, changes and complexities you may encounter in your new setting here in Minnesota. HCC desires to share Christ’s love through hospitality, while cultivating a community of friendship, understanding and cultural exchange.
The Hospitality Center for Chinese (HCC) was founded in 1992 to serve the Chinese student and scholar community at the University of Minnesota. HCC grew out of a desire to not only provide practical services to the Chinese but also express hospitality and love through friendship and cultural exchange. Originally, services included Friendship Meals and Host Families; now they have expanded to include English classes, free furniture services, recreational outings and other activities, free Wi-Fi and ping-pong at China Place and connecting new students with temporary host homes during the first week after arrival.
The Hospitality Center for Chinese is located at “China Place” across the street from the University of Minnesota, on the St. Paul campus.
